2013 Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo

Thank you to everyone who came out to see us at the comic expo this year. We had tons of fun and lots of copies of world of the uncanny and our other films are now in the hands of people who really need them (including Sylvester McCoy.) Our panel was a surprising success (surprising to me anyway) and if you missed it it is now uploaded for you to see.

And while you are there come and get a copy of my new movie.. and tell everyone you know to do the same... for crying out loud, I don't have a job for the summer, people!

Months and months of updates and me being too busy to actually write anything on this website!

Okay, so the last bit of news from LAST YEAR was that we were about to start filming on the major feature length motion picture 'WORLD OF THE UNCANNY' well the good news is that we actually made the movie... in total it was something like 6 months worth of work, and it is actually the greatest achievement of my life.. probably. But I will get to that in a moment.. I would like to explain myself first. I can't remember the last time I have got this long with neglecting and updating this website.. I haven't even sent out SC Newsletter e-mail updates.. and I imagine lots of websites all over the world are suffering for this exact same thing. I blame facebook. yeah.. it's easier, it gets to the people who actually are interested in the info.. and people go on there 50 times a day every day.. I have no idea how often people visit this website, but I bet it sure is less than they go on facebook. So that's my excuse, I do stuff on facebook now, and have left my beautiful website to fend for itself. I am a bad man.

Anyway, back to the news.. first off there was an amazing reunion of SC's very first music group, The Electric Oinks. Yes, Terence and myself spent several weeks recording a ridiculously amazing double album of beauty and horror.. it is called Secret Eyes.. and it is available to download for free.. we wouldn't think of charging you for this music.. it is actually probably against the law for us to do so.. anyway.. go and get it!

And now on to the most amazing movie ever made: WORLD OF THE UNCANNY
Months of shooting and editing and painstaking special effects and every challenge you could possibly imagine are over and what's left is something so good you will be telling your grandchildren where you were when you saw it for the first time. The staples of SC Entertainment heroics, Beefart & Cheenkaw are back to fight the evils of the world another time.. only this time they are going to the root, the villain so villainous that other villains consider him a villain. Nathaniel Weisberg. Not only that, but Bo-Bo comes back, the whole world is thrown into an alternate reality of strangeness  there is the amazing super hero The Mosquito (Paige Morrison), and Beefart and Cheenkaw have two new assistants, the lovely and talented Marla (Emmelia Taylor) and Silk (Jeff Robertson) Flying saucers, cannibal dream monsters and more round out this amazing 2 hour long sci-fi horror action comedy drama documentary. And that brings me to our final bit of news... where and how you will be able to see this movie! Well the official release will be at this year's Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo. We will be there stationed at the Scorpio TV booth.. where you can get loads of cult and hard to find discs... heck, if you ask us nice enough, we will autograph it for you when you buy it. The DVD comes with some exciting audio commentary by me and Terence... and for a couple more bucks you can get the delux edition that comes with a second disc that is packed with bonus features.
Not only will be be there selling you the greatest film of all time, but we were also invited to do a panel discussion about us and how we have been making such amazing things for the last 30 years without any outside help from the world whatsoever, and how nothing is impossible, and you can make all your b-movie dreams come true if you want to! We will be having the panel at the Rotary House at 5:30 Friday April 26th. I expect you all to come check it out... On the panel will be myself and Terence, Elaine, and Jeff and Emmelia, our two new mainstays here at SC Entertainment..

Oh yes.. in other news, Me and Elaine, aka Dinojubilee, aka Death Ray Gun, aka Lost Worlds, aka the two people who have been putting every bit of our lives in to SC Entertainment for the last 13 or 14 years are going to be getting married in May.. It should prove fun and exciting.

World of the Uncanny begins shooting in 1 week!

This massive project begins shooting on October 13th, and I couldn't be more excited! Already plagued with problems and huge things that needed to be overcome.. we are still ready to go and prepared for the worst! This is easily the biggest thing I have ever attempted as far as movies go.. so chances are it will be the greatest achievement of my life so far... I would like to thank all the wonderful people who helped donate to make this film possible... your money is already gone.. spent within a matter of minutes on incredibly cool things! Go ahead and check out the teaser trailer for this... and keep all your fingers crossed and wish us luck on this adventure!

29 Years of Exciting Art

Today is August 27th.. that means it is SC Entertainment's anniversary.. it has been exactly 29 years since me and Terry came up with a name for the weird things we do. A lot of things in the world have changed since 1983.. mainly, I am taller. Other than that though, I am still making up crazy stories and music and stuff and making my friends take part and have fun whether they like it or not. Me and Terry and Elaine, and all the other people through the years who have helped us to build a huge HUGE catalogue of music, and movies, videos, comic books, stories, and all kinds of interesting artistic projects are heroes! Yes, that's right.. we get nothing in return, we occasionally get people telling us to stop bothering them, and sometimes if we are lucky we get people telling us that they liked something we do. This isn't our job, or how we make a living.. though I wish it was.. but it keeps getting done, year after year.. making what I consider to be the world's greatest films and music.... anyway.. we rock, Happy anniversary SC, you are awesome and have given my life meaning. Word up.

A few years ago we made a documentary about the history of SC.. if you have a chance today, please check it out.. it may give you a greater appreciation for our life's work.

The script for the next installment in the amazing Beefart / Cheenkaw / Bo-Bo / Laura McKnees / Earl Nakesch franchise is on it's way, with filming scheduled to start in the fall with all new exciting characters, the most diabolical villain you could ever imagine, and possibly the weirdest most exciting and mind blowing story we have ever come up with! I'm starting to understand why I am poor, as everything I do is given out for free. The good news is that if I actually charged people to listen to our music and watch our films, no one would actually do it, and nothing would ever get seen or heard. Thats not exactly completely true I guess... on occasion people do pay for things, and it blows my mind and I get mad at them. Twenty years ago Me and Terry Ramsay were but children of 16 years of age. However we were clever and dumb enough to create perhaps the greatest rock and roll in the history of Beaverdam Way. It was beautiful, and had far more style and excitement... but people don't need personal websites any more.. they have facebook, which takes care of everything, and gives the world all the information you could ever want about anyone.. and a lot of information you don't really want about most people. 2012 Calgary Comic Expo

SC Entertainment is going to be at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo again this year! This time we will be in the Scorpio TV booth, hanging out with Blain, who has generously invited us to sell our stuff there this year.
If you go to the Expo website (link above) you can get the address, direction and a map of the whole event.. it is ridiculously fun and cool. We are at booth 108.
Along with Blain's huge amount of cool DVDs and other things he is selling this year, you will be able to come down and pick up lots of different things from SC Entertainment.. such as: Beefart & Cheenkaw - Curse of the Dimensions of Death, Slim-Bot, The original Beefart & Cheenkaw film, Unicorn Making a Video, Olive and other very cool DVDs.
