OUT OF STATE LAST DAY

Friday December 23rd.

Last day of shooting with humans.. it went well.. as usual... everyone was wonderful.. as usual. Though I am happy that the whole madness of shooting schedules and dealing with humans (however wonderful you all were) is over.. it is pretty sad that it is. You get so used to a group of people working towards a specific goal.. and when something amazing comes of it.. anyway.. I am a nostalgic sentimental freak, and I shouldn't be allowed to leave my house. Now the really hard part begins.. I have already been editing a lot, and I have about 25 minutes of the film done. But I have to start building things... I have some blueprints drawn up, and a lot of ideas about how I am going to do it. I foresee a lot of long nights in my basement breathing in saw dust and paint fumes... On top of the models I have to make a dead beaver that I can use for several stop motion animation sequences.. and I am also creating a frog man character, and this time is will not be my friend Hussein, I plan on him being a real frogman... half frog, half man... When I have something interesting to show, I will continue this page with more pictures, so keep checking back... anyway, here are some behind the scene shots from the last day of shooting.

Tuesday December 20th

We had to reschedule most of the final day's shots for friday, but I did shoot a few things with Marisa. And holy god am I ever sick. I shouldn't be making movies so much as I should probably be in a hospital.

Day 2 of wild green screen fun... went too fast.. only one day left of shooting with actors... it is starting to feel sad.

Saturday December 17th

Day one of green screen madness... well as usual we were done way sooner than expected... I can only hope tomorrow goes as well.. the green screen seems to be working okay, I have already tested some of the footage we shot to see if I can effectively replace the green with whatever I want, and it all seems alright.. I don't have any of the backgrounds shot yet, so all there is to show is some pictures taken on set... oh.. and Craig was a very convincing drunk guy.

Tonight was all about Beefart and Cheenkaw, oh my god the good times didn't stop... oh, my, god.

Tonight we shot some scenes with Cheryl... she was also in Bo-Bo 3... waaaaay back in 1993.. it was fun to see her again.

Sunday December 11th

Was a long day of shooting, and it went well... seems things with this movie couldn't go any smoother... like really.. we had a messy morning, but me and Marisa cleaned it all up... and the afternoon went so fast i wasn't sure if I got everything or not.. but I did... and yet again Farrah stole the show.

Wednesday December 7th

Carly's home was very nice, and everything went very fast and smoothly. Colin took Marisa's spot on the SC crew and did a fantastic job..

Shot a bunch of stuff in Raymond's Hotel Room... everything went well, and looks very pretty. Most of the scenes that were missed have been re-scheduled.. so things should be back on track shortly.

Isaac's sister decided to have her baby today, so pretty much all shooting was cancelled so he could help out. But congratulations to her. We did manage to get one scene shot. hopefully we can catch up this week some time.

Out in the middle of nowhere. The generator kept dieing, and the sound equipment broke down too. Also, we were surrounded by gangs of wild coyotes. But at the end of the day, everything turned out perfectly.

First day of shooting went fairly well, slightly cold outside.

So my new movie "Out of State" begins shooting on November 13th, it's all pretty exciting and it should hopefully all go well, considering the ridiculous amount of work I have already put in to this project. I will soon be putting together a mini site for "out of state" with some production stills, as soon as they start coming in.

The movie is starring Barry May, Quynh-Mi Nguyen, and Isaac Malik, as well as some old SC favorites like Amanda Kolodychuk, Terry Ramsay, and myself...
It is about some desperate people who are lost and trying to find a way back home. And a bunch of other things.

The last fukachuk egg machine record is now completely available for free on line.
So if there were any of you who missed out on getting the record on it's original release a few months ago.. now is your chance to hear it... download it, burn copies.. give them to friends...
I have listened to it again after letting it sit for a couple months.. and I am pretty sure it is my favorite fukachuk album..

This may be the last fukachuk egg machine record, as I am probably going to focus my musical energy toward my new band with Terry Ramsay.. and also what ever projects may come up with Elaine. But fukachuk has at least come to the end of a chapter...

I was looking through rough tapes and stuff lately and I have found over 40 fukachuk songs from over the years that haven't managed to make it to any albums... so maybe I will release some compilations of those at some point..

anyway..

the new death ray gun record will be available soon. I will give more details on that when it is ready. The whole thing is done recording.. right now it is a matter of packaging and stuff...

I am in pre-production on a new movie, with the working title "Out of State" I have been putting most of my energy in to this project, and I plan to start shooting within the next couple months... I will be looking for lots of actors to fill the roles... but I will send out another e-mail when the time is right.

And me and Terry continue to work on new material for our new, as yet untitled band. We plan on rocking each and every one of your worlds.
