SC Newsletter #45,987

Hello my beautiful disciples...

It has actually been ages since I have sent out this amazing superphonic newsletter... that I might add goes straight in to your inbox without you ever having to go outside... where it is cold.. very very cold.
I have been away my friends.. making the movie 'a zebra for sally'... all last month we shot it.. and right now i am working like a maniac trying to put it together. And when i say maniac.. i am not exaggerating. i don't sleep any more.. i don't eat... my family hates me for ignoring them... it has gotten really bad actually.. i can't remember the last time i bathed... and as such the cats won't go near me any more. But the good news is that 'A Zebra For Sally' is turning out better than not only anyone
could have ever hoped for, but better than any movie ever made... ever.. in the history of movies... on Earth and elsewhere. So you can all start salivating now in preparation for this thing... possibly January.. but maybe February... anyway I don't know when.. it could take me the rest of my life.. but I will let you know... I'm not really joking by the way, I don't think I have ever been more proud of something I have made. And the people who acted in it and helped me were and are outstanding humans.. and I owe them my life.

Anyway, enough about how amazing my new movie is gonna be.. there are always a thousand things going on in my head... for instance Elaine and I are still recording the new Death Ray Gun record.. which is turning out excellent.. it reminds me a lot of the first Death Ray Gun Album, and somewhat of Fukachuk Pandora Machine... at any rate we have recorded tons of songs and we aren't done yet.

I was thinking that 2008 is coming up here fast. Do you have any idea what that means?? It means that SC Entertainment will have been around for 25 years!! Like am I even old enough to have been doing ANYTHING for 25 years?? Let alone running a world wide cult such as SC? Anyway I have a whole year to get misty eyed about all that,
so I won't go on about it any more... but seriously.. 25 years.. holy shit.

As always, please go to the SC website everyday for your fix of coolness.

http://scentertainment.org

Here are some things you may want to check out:
The latest issue of SC Propaganda is available to view on the website, just click on a
rchives.
Don't forget about SC Radio.. another link at the top of the page... you should listen to that exclusively.

Here's some stuff that you can see on youtube...
Miette Kolodychuk's video for Miette The Zebra:

The making of Out Of State Slide Show:

Speaking of which.. and to go back to how cold the weather is... you should brows the SC Catalogue to see if there are any special items you would like to get for your enemies (or sweethearts) for this joyous holiday season... they will be shipped right to your door.. no later than February... or if you are really lucky I will get them to you by Christmas.

I guess I should get back to editing... take care all y'all... and remember... without SC Entertainment in your life you are nothing.. and people will hate you.

Love Blaise.

Space Station Torn Down

Today was a sad day indeed, as I tore down the beautiful Space Station Zero set... why would I do this, you may ask... Why wouldn't I just keep the Space Station alive and well in the glorious SC sound stage hidden below the surface of the earth forever? Well it's time to build new and amazing sets for 'A Zebra For Sally' the new upcoming movie that going to start shooting in November... So get ready for some more mayhem.. and perhaps a bizarre underground tomb! Scary.. isn't it.
A Zebra For Sally is in heavy pre-production right now.. and I am doing lots and lots of work... making shot lists and all sorts of other amazing things.. the cast has all been set, and this new movie will star the amazing talents of some familiar SC faces, such as Terry Ramsay, reprising his role as Cheenkaw.. now in retirement, and no longer on the police force, he is just plain old John Cheenkaw. Other people include Isaac Malik, who you may remember as Jeremy from Out Of State, as well as Barry May who was Raymond the Butcher, also from Out Of State. The two lead roles will be portrayed by some newcomers to the land of SC Entertainment.. Kristy Lannan will be playing the dead girl Sally, and Christine Peterson has been cast as Dale, the poor girl who ends up with a ghost in her head. Also new to the land of SC will be Lee Hicks in the role of Viktor. The whole movie has been pre destined to be an amazing thing that will give you nightmares and confusion until you pass on to the next life... I will keep you updated as things proceed.

Happy Anniversary SC!

It was recently August 27th, and that day of course marks SC Entertainment's 24th anniversary. And as always around this time of year I get stupid and sentimental about this thing I call SC and I babble on and on about it in bizarre letters and e-mails... this year is no different.. I apologize ahead of time.

SC Entertainment was created a long long time ago.. and has done so many things it is really almost embarrassing, if everything about it wasn't so totally cool. Me and Terry came up with the name while figuring out what to call our comic group.. something to put in the corner of the books we made.. something like marvel or DC... So we came up with Super Cool comics Group.. way back in 1983. It was the idea of some children.. the only difference is that I am in my 30's now and basically nothing at all has changed. The idea behind it has always been the same... to take what ever you got, and make something out of it. SC is possibly the most punk rock entity that has ever existed.. and it won't stop being like that... i'll be sitting here in another 25 years saying the same thing and doing the same thing over and over. We take everything that is shit and celebrate it to the point of it being something we can't live without. We never had anything more than a pad of paper and a pencil we stole from school when we started... and we made up so many stories that it would knock your socks off... and a year later when SC Music debut I didn't have much less than I do now... recording on an old ghetto blaster and using broken old instruments and things we made.. All for what? Just to make it.. turning nothing in to something.. thats what it's all about. And even now.. I gave up a chance to get extra funding for the new film we are making on account of principle. I don't want anything silly like money to stop me from being as creative as I possibly can be... and I didn't want to have to wait to answer to anyone else but myself... the ideas are here, now... not for some future date somewhere after my immediate passion has since gone away. I have come to the conclusion that I will quite probably never make and money from the things I do.. and that's fine.. if money was ever a reason to do something like this there would be something terribly flawed in my brain space.. My point is that this is all good. And I wouldn't want it any other way. Over the years SC has seen so many things happen... and life has changed so much in the world... I remember making piles of tapes for people using a double cassette tape to tape ghetto blaster... making photo copies at the drug store late at night.. The whole idea of this e-mail and website... that was a pile of stamps and a book with people's addresses that I acquired from various places... writing things exactly like this and typing them out on a real typewriter.. mailing things out... instead of free downloads, I would send free cassette tapes... Going through the hell of trying to figure out how to make packaging for VHS tapes... me and Paul running around the whole city trying to find VHS boxes with the sleeve so you could put a photocopied cover in there... and even before all that, just making flyers and handing them out at school... trying to get people to see me and terry playing in his garage.. now it's this... e-mail.. websites.. streaming videos and music.. and oh my god there is so much I want to share with you and everyone.. and to so many people they just see it as shit.. there's that guy who covers his basement in tin foil and makes his buddy hide under a desk to puppeteer a weird stuffed thing he made with a mexican accent, or something... why the hell would you want to see that when you could see some amazing CGI aliens and big production shows who don't get the actors, and the director's 11 year old kid to be camera operator... and the honest truth is, you should watch the shit instead. You watch that and you are watching something that was loved... something that wasn't made with money so much as it was made with hard work and a passion beyond anything that could be considered healthy... SC Entertainment has come such a long way by staying exactly where we were 24 years ago when me and Terry were little kids excited about making up superheros and weird stories about cats and stuff... Along the way we have found a few people who understand.. people like Elaine.. and Paul.. I think the real thing is, that we would do this for the rest of our lives, and sacrifice absolutely everything to make these bizarre dreams become reality, even if no one would ever see it ever... thankfully you don't have to miss out, and you can be a part of this too. One day we will live in a world where people are most focused on creation and art rather than power and money.. and they will look back at me and all these other punk rock kids who didn't care about the system as much as they cared about just getting things made and they will see that we were right all along. Basically what I am saying is that the future of the human race depends on me making space stations in my basement, and horror movies with nothing but corn syrup, food colouring and some people who just want to spend their weekend covered in blood and getting yelled at by me.

In Progress.. SSZ, New Fukachuk, and New Horror Film

It has been quite some time since I put up any news here... I guess I have been too busy to tell you about any of it. Anyway, here's the scoop on what's happening in SC Land: First off, the amazing Space Station Zero continues to be made.. coming out every three weeks now, in order to give my brain a bit of a break.. We are up to episode 6 already! Only 4 more to go people! You can catch all the Space Station Zero you can handle over at the official web page:
http://space-station-zero.com You can also download all the songs from the program and do a bunch of other fun things!

I am currently working on the same new fukachuk egg machine album I have been making for the last 6 months... it is turning out pretty amazingly, and I think it will prove to be something quite special when it's all done.

The newest issue of SC Propaganda is slowly being put together, but it may still be a little while until I can get it finished... I just seem to have way too much going on right now.. If things go right, I may be including a copy of the new record with all the mail out issues... So if you aren't on it already, drop me a line and send me your mailing address so I can put you on the superphonic SC Mailing list..

I am also currently in pre-pre-pre production on a new sort of experimental horror film I will hopefully be making sometime this year... I am just sort of trying to find people to be in it right now.. If you are interested send me an e-mail with a picture. I am particularly looking for a thin, fairly short girl for the lead role.. you would be required to do all sorts of horrible things for me. I will probably have roles for various other characters as well.. Nothing about this film is set in stone.

That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure I probably have much more on the go right now...

ohhh yes.. I am planning on having a weekly, or possibly bi-weekly internet radio show some time soon. More on that later.
